○Extreme Engagement

There are people in the world who have a deep perspective and can analyze things from viewpoints that are invisible to many. These people are generally competent, and what they have in common is their experience of extreme situations. That's why their perspective deepens. People who engage in matters other than their vocation or suitable job finish their engagement with a moderate amount of passion, a moderate amount of focus, and a moderate amount of time. Therefore, they experience a bit of hardship and a bit of joy. As a result, their experience level is shallow, and they have less experience in deeply observing things. In company terms, they are equivalent to general employees. People with deep perspectives or competence have a past of extremely engaging in something. They dedicate an almost pathological amount of time to one thing, such as reading an enormous amount of books, creating an enormous number of works, practicing for an incredible amount of time, observing for an incredible amount of time, thinking for an incredible amount of time, working incredibly hard, or selling to an enormous number of people. Therefore, they have experienced incredible hardship and also gained a lot. Therefore, they know the extremes of things. In other words, because they know the limit of what can be done in 24 hours a day, they can understand everything from zero to that end. Therefore, they can see the unseen aspects and depths, and they begin to see what level can be achieved if they concentrate and spend this much time. In company terms, this is common among founders.

And when people talk about their experiences, their words carry weight. Therefore, their conversations become attractive, and their remarks gain weight. Therefore, the stories of the competent people who have experienced the extremes are interesting, and the stories of people with average experience levels lack depth.

People who have only done average engagements may feel anxious if their children or close people are engaging in extreme ways, and may caution them or make them stop. Extreme engagement can be harmful to health. However, from the opposite point of view, it can also be a time to climb the necessary steps to become competent.

When you are doing something extreme, you are out of balance. However, if you continue it for a certain period of time, you will get the hang of it. Then, you will be able to maintain the effective parts of that extreme thing while balancing it with the parts where you slack off.

Anyone can do extreme engagement. However, there is a condition, which is only when you are following an interest that you can be passionate about to the end, or when you are engaged in your vocation or suitable job. Once you find it, you will naturally spend an enormous amount of time on it and grow into a competent person.

If you are starting as a beginner, seek quantity over quality, and as your knowledge increases and your competence increases, and you start to see the whole picture, your eye will become discerning, and you will shift from quantity to quality.
